Nice to meet you!

I am Daliana S. Solis, a first-generation student and recent graduate of the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where I earned a degree in Informatics with a specialization in Human-Computer Interaction.

Throughout my academic path, I actively participated in projects focused on advancing women's health, improving communication in student housing, and fostering creative storytelling. Additionally, I served as a data analyst intern for the All of Us Research Program, collaborating with UCI, UCI Health, and the National Institutes of Health.

My passion lies in product management and UI/UX design, and I have a strong background in project management and software design. I have experience in Java, Python, and R, as well as in Figma and Jira.

What I value in Informatics...

Collaboration

Through my involvement in various projects, I have come to appreciate teamwork. I've had the privilege of collaborating with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, and public health majors, all working together towards a common goal. I place great importance on respecting everyone's contributions, knowledge, and perspectives.

Exploring the Human-Technology Relationship

I have a passion for exploring the dynamic between people and technology, specifically studying individuals, their challenges, and how they engage with technology. I find it especially interesting to figure out how we can use data and insights to provide better support to people through technology and enhance their interactions with it.

In my spare time, I enjoy...

Watching Movies and Shows

I am especially into animation like "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and "Avatar: The Last Airbender," but I won't say no to a good history or nature documentary.

Read Books

I would consider myself a bookworm who loves to read, especially when it comes to romance, science fiction, and thriller genres. One of my favorite books is a mystery, crime-fiction novel called, "Chronicle of a Death Foretold" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
